Book processing charge

Your editor will be able to provide you with a quote for the Book Processing Charge (BPC) or Chapter Processing Charge (CPC) and discuss Creative Commons licensing options (our default license is CC BY). Once they’ve been agreed upon, these fee and licensing details will be included in the book contract.

The BPC/CPC covers all the costs of commissioning, managing peer-review, copyediting and proofreading, production, dissemination, and promotion, including online hosting and indexing.

ISCI is committed to keeping its open access publication charges at a minimum level:

For chapters in edited books, ISCI applies a Chapter Processing Charge of 500 GBP for each accepted manuscript.
For monographs, ISCI applies a Book Processing Charge of 3500 GBP for Electronic book publishing, and the book with electronic ISBN can only be distributed and sold in the electronic version;
For monographs, ISCI applies a Book Processing Charge of 4500 GBP for printed book publishing, and the book with printed ISBN can only be distributed and sold in the printed version;
For monographs, ISCI applies a Book Processing Charge of 5500 GBP for both Electronic and printed book publishing, and the book with electronic and printed ISBNs can be distributed and sold in both the electronic and printed versions.
